The Cole Classic Swim, at Manly in Sydney, NSW, Australia, is the world’s largest Ocean Swim – this year there were 4,500 participants. I was one of them.
I spent a few months training for my first ever ocean swim (race) – at the beginning, I could barely swim a 50m length of the pool. But, by the end, I swam 1km and survived!
I swan with CanToo – a fantastic organisation which helps mugs like me to learn how to run and swim and compete, for fun, of course. They are a not-for-profit, and raise money for Cure Cancer, another fantastic organisation which funds medical research into trying to find a cure for cancer. I am a proud supporter of both organisations.

All the girls in Easts Girls 10C played superbly on Sunday, and after the game we all said farewell to Coach Bob and Sophie who were integral members of this year’s team, and were on their way back to the ‘States.
We’ll miss you Bob and Sophie! Safe travels home.
